The world needs clean, reliable energy at enormous scale. At Proxima Fusion, we are turning decades of research into industrial reality – building Alpha, our net energy demo stellarator, on the path to Stellaris, our first commercial fusion power plant.
That involves more than building a machine. It means creating the technology, supply chains and deployment capability for a new fusion industry in Europe.

How we work
Our values are practical. They shape how we make decisions, challenge ideas, and work across disciplines when the answer isn’t obvious.
Fusion can’t be built in silos. We share context, work across disciplines, and help solve the most important problem, even when it sits outside our direct team.
The best idea wins, regardless of title or tenure. We challenge assumptions, change our minds when evidence improves and measure success by whether the mission moves forward.
We test early, learn quickly, and treat setbacks as data. A prototype that disproves an idea is more valuable than a perfect presentation delivered too late.
We debate directly because the work matters, while trusting that colleagues are trying to solve the same problem. We ask before assuming, give feedback clearly, and move forward without blame.
Important work rarely arrives as a perfectly defined task. We take ownership, close gaps and follow through, while helping the people around us do the best work of their lives.

Proxima is headquartered in Munich, with additional offices and labs at the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) in Switzerland and on the UK’s Culham Campus.
