Building Stellaris

Proxima's Stellaris fusion power plant concept was the first stellarator design of its kind to be peer-reviewed, demonstrating the integration of QI stellarator physics with high-field HTS magnets, meeting all key constraints for physics and engineering feasibility.

Stellaris will be built on the site of a former nuclear fission power plant in Gundremmingen, Germany, putting fusion energy on the grid in the 2030s.
